Did you know that November is National Family Literacy Month? Well, there is a great way for you to get involved and help promote this worthy cause!
Lori’s Truth Foundation will be looking for new or gently-used books for all ages at a book drive on Saturday, Oct. 23. All donated adult books will go to support ReRead Books & More in Cheshire.
All youth books will be donated to Read to Grow in Branford, which promotes child literacy throughout Connecticut. Lori’s Truth, a local nonprofit organization established in 2019, honors the legacy of Lori Galvin, a former educator and elementary reading consultant. The group works to support a variety of causes, including child literacy, and is excited to partner with these literacy-focused organizations.
Lori’s Truth and ReRead Books & More will be collecting books on the green in front of First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Contact Tim Galvin at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or for more information regarding how you can contribute.
