A Community Book Drive, sponsored by Lori’s Truth and Reread Books & More, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The drive will take place at the Watch Factory Shoppes (parking lot near Reread Books). This 3rd annual book drive supports the efforts of Read to Grow in Branford, an organization that promotes child literacy throughout Connecticut. Lori’s Truth, established in 2019, honors the legacy of Lori Galvin, a former educator and elementary reading consultant. Reread Books & More, founded in 2020, provides jobs to young adults with special needs.
New or gently used books for children (newborns to teens) are requested. Can’t make it on Saturday? Contact organizers and they’ll let you know how and where to drop off book donations.
