Chesprocott Seeking Medicare Information Regarding Vaccination

Chesprocott Seeking Medicare Information Regarding Vaccination

The following information was received from Chesprocott Health District:

Chesprocott Health District vaccinated over 11,000 individuals during the 49 mass vaccination clinics that were held at the Cheshire Town Pool, Cheshire High School West Gym, Cheshire Senior Center, Prospect Senior Center, Wolcott Senior Center and Wolcott High School.

We continue to vaccinate, but on a smaller scale and at smaller venues so that our public health nurses can discuss the myths/truths about the vaccine and/or any questions regarding getting vaccinated.

Chesprocott Health District just received approval to bill Medicare for those aged 65 years and older who received a vaccine from the Health District. This billing is to cover the administrative costs associated with operating our many clinics. Anyone 65 years of age or older who attended one of our clinics should be receiving a letter from Chesprocott Health District asking for their Medicare information. Please call the Health District at (203) 272-2761 to assist us.

We have notified the Police Department and Town Hall that residents would be receiving this letter and now we are sharing it with you. This is a legitimate request and not a scam.

The Health District is also sending emails to those who meet these qualifications, but we know that many loved ones used their own email address for their parents to receive their vaccinations.

“We’ve done so much for our community, and we want to continue providing the best quality service to our residents, so we ask that you help us by spreading this message” Director of Chesprocott Health District Maura Esposito has asked.
