Community Chorus Kicking Off Holiday Season

The Cheshire Community Chorus will present its 2019 Winter Pops Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Cheshire Lutheran Church, 660 West Main St. This year’s theme is “Joy and Peace!” — a variety of music with 13 choral selections and three individual performances.

Professionally directed and accompanied, the group is in its 39th season. Members hail from Cheshire and surrounding towns, including Waterbury, Southington, Berlin, North Haven, and Hamden. The concert is directed by Lisa Zolkiewicz-Ives of Wallingford and will also feature some piano and pipe organ work by Bill Hively, accompanist, of New Britain.

Tickets cost $15 at the door, $10 for senior citizens and children, free for children 5 and under. For more information, visit www.sites.google.com/view/cheshirecommunitychorus.
