The Cheshire Police Department, Chesprocott Health District, and Cheshire Human Services are partnering together for National Drug Take Back Day.
The purpose of this event is for the public to dispose of their unused or expired medications. This initiative addresses a vital public safety and public health issue and is a strategy in reducing the misuse and abuse of prescription medications.
This year’s event will be held at the Cheshire Police Department, 500 Highland Ave., this Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The partners hope that residents will take this opportunity to properly and safely dispose of unused or expired medications.
To those who are unable to make it to the event, remember that there is a Drug Disposal Drop Box located in the lobby of the Cheshire Police Department, in which unused or expired medications can be disposed of at any time.
