Cheshire Creation Care and Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire are organizing an Earth Day Rally on the green in front of Cheshire’s First Congregational Church this Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Earth Day Rally will be informational, with exhibits and presentations. And it will also be fun, with prizes and refreshments. Come gather with friends, neighbors and other kindred spirits who are working together to protect planet Earth, our only home.
Cheshire Creation Care includes members of the interfaith community: First Congregational Church, Cheshire United Methodist Church, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and Temple Beth David.
The following day, April 23, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will conduct an Earth Sunday Children’s Service at 10 a.m. The church’s children will call the congregation to worship, lead the processional, and handle welcoming and ushering. Following the service there will be a community coffee hour and an Earth-focused craft activity table for children. All are invited to all events.
