For Pete’s Sake Golf Tournament Set For Oct. 2


The 8th annual Fore St. Pete’s Sake / Dana Knickerbocker Memorial annual golf tournament to benefit Cheshire’s St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be held on Friday, Oct. 2 at The Robert Trent Jones Championship Course, Lyman Orchards, Middlefield. All activities will follow Covid-19 public health guidelines.

Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. This is a fun scramble format open to all. Tournament leaders will pair golfers who do not have a foursome. The cost is $125 per player, which includes 18 holes of championship golf; breakfast of ‘coffee and’; use of the driving range and putting greens; professional assistance throughout the tournament; buffet dinner with two-hour open bar, prizes, raffle, silent auction and much more. All golfers receive a 6-inch Lyman Orchards apple pie to take home.

There are also activities for non-players: a one-hour beginner group golf lesson at 2 .p.m for $20; a buffet dinner with dessert and open bar and participation in silent auction and raffle for $25; and apple-picking all day.

Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities are available in amounts from $100 to $1,500 with website and event day on-course promotions available.
