Lions Club Plans October Paper Shredding Event

The Cheshire Lions Club will be holding its second annual paper shredding event in the parking lot behind Cheshire Town Hall, 84 South Main St., off of Wallingford Road, from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The shredding will be performed by ProShred Connecticut, of Wallingford. Boxes of materials (24 inches x 5 inches) will cost a fee of $10. Larger sized boxes will cost $15. There is no limit on the number of boxes.

Proceeds will go to local projects and charities in Cheshire and other activities that the Lions Club organizes annually, including the Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, and Liberty Day at Dodd Middle School.

COVID-19 precautions, face masks and social distancing protocols will be followed and are required of all participants.

Hand sanitizer will be made available to all those members of the public attending at the Lions Club volunteer tents.
