Saint Bridget Steps Up For Troops

A couple of weeks ago, Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish received an unusual request. It came by way of Captain Philip O’Neill, USAF, the Parish’s former Parochial Vicar, who now serves as Chaplain at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Father O’Neill informed Saint Bridget’s that his unit was in need of toiletries for both its male and female members. Saint Bridget Pastor Father Jeffrey Romans, asked parishioners to lend a hand, and they donated enough toiletries to fill 12 medium-sized cardboard boxes to the brim.

Thanks to the packing and shipping expertise of parishioner Anna Satterfield, the Parish was able to ship donation to the base quickly.

Father O’Neill and his unit were very grateful andthey shared the photo (at right) with the Parish as a way to say “thank you.”
