Suburban Garden Club’s New Face Mask Designs Available

The Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire is still offering masks for sale, and just added 12 new designs to its final collection of face masks — patterns 33 to 44.

Those interested are asked to visit www.cheshiregardeners.org/face-masks.

Masks are also available at four locations in Cheshire — Cheshire Nursery, Main Street Caffe, Olive & Henry Fine Foods, and Premier Wine & Spirits — and at Tops Marketplace in Southington. Special accommodations can be made to see and/or purchase the masks for those who are not comfortable going to one of the above-named stores by contacting  sdillman@snet.net.

All masks are hand-made by Suburban Garden Club members. Special features include:

•100% cotton fabric, with a pocket where a coffee filter, paper towel, or other material can be inserted to provide additional protection.

•The same type of metal nose strip used in surgical masks to provide a snug fit and help prevent glasses from fogging

•Soft elastic that goes behind the head rather than around the ears. In addition to eliminating ear irritation, this allows the mask to be worn around the neck when not in use and helps prevent it from being dropped or lost (especially important for kids!).  If desired, masks can easily be converted to the ear loop style; instructions are included with each mask.

As always, 100% of the purchase price will be donated to local food banks and food pantries.
