Vaccine Clinic Being Offered At Fall Festival

Chesprocott Health District is hosting a Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cheshire Fall Festival and Marketplace at Bartlem Park. Chesprocott will be offering the Pfizer (Comirnaty) vaccine to those 12 years of age and up. First and second doses will be administered.

In addition, Chesprocott will also be offering the FluLaval vaccine, which is a quadrivalent flu vaccine to protect you against four strains of the flu.

Both vaccines can be administered at the same time. Flu shots will be given to those with accepted insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card and ID. Those who are 65 years and older, please bring your red, white, and blue Medicare card. If you do not have insurance, the cost is $40.

Vaccinations are the most effective way to protect yourself from getting ill and from experiencing serious health complications. Both the flu and Covid-19 vaccines help to reduce the burden of flu illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths.

There are many ways to stay healthy this fall season: wear a mask, limit large gatherings, practice social distancing, disinfect high-contact surfaces often, wash your hands with soap and water, and stay home if you’re sick.
