Flowering shrubs, hibiscus highlight Cheshire Garden Club Beauty Spot of the Month

A tall stand of dahlias abutting the sidewalk at #26 Cherry Street has earned the homeowners Pamela Goldin and John Philip Perschbacher the Cheshire Garden Club’s Beauty Spot of the Month for September. The garden in their front yard stretching all the way from their Cape Cod House to the street features a variety of flowering shrubs, perennials and bulbous plant in full bloom right now. In addition to a Butterfly bush, Coneflowers, Nikki Blue Hydrangeas and Red

Hibiscus are several varieties of Dahlias, some of them six to eight feet high. They are the yellow ‘Big Bird’; the orange ‘Stripe’; the lilac ‘Debby’; and the deep purple ‘Ivanetti’.

Our congratulations to the homeowners for creating such a spectacle on Cherry Street.
