It’s easy to forget at the moment, but spring officially arrived last Thursday. And for most of us, it was hard to tell the difference given what an unseasonably warm winter the region experienced.
However, on Monday, there was a brief return to winter. For the first time in weeks, the majority of the state saw snow falling outside the window. Throughout the morning, heavy snow blanketed all of Cheshire with a small amount of accumulation. Had there been a morning commute like normal, the weather likely would have disrupted it. Perhaps there would have been a few delayed school openings.
But in the midst of the state’s current shutdown, as residents hunker down inside to avoid person-to-person contact and try to help stop the spread of COVID-19, all most were able to do was watch from their window as the snow fell.
