The 55th Annual Cheshire Memorial Day Parade will be held under bright skies and perfect spring conditions on Sunday, May 28. Bands, civic organizations, local dignitaries, and veterans made their way down Route 10, from Police Headquarters to Cheshire High School, with hundreds of onlookers, many dressed in red, white, and blue, sat along the parade route cheering and waving.

This year’s event coincides with the 70th anniversary of the end of the Korean War. As such, the honorary Co-Grand Marshals for 2023 were Fred Coughlan and Rene Gagnon, two Cheshire residents and Korean War veterans. The men were there to represent their Korean War comrades.
