On Friday, Oct. 9, Cheshire threw a birthday party.
It wasn't just any party, however. This one was for three local residents—three veterans of World War II—all of whom are turning 100 years of age this year.
Florence Bryant, Irv Daubert, and Ralph Rowland were all honored on Oct. 9, with a ceremony at Bartlem Park and a parade down Route 10. Several local officials spoke at the event, and the parade route was lined—and socially distanced—by residents and students, who came out to honor the birthday boys and girl.
The event was sponsored by Because of the Brave, The Hometown Foundation, and the Town of Cheshire.
