The Cheshire Fall Festival & Marketplace kicked off Friday, Sept. 10, and continued through Saturday, Sept. 11. The weather cooperated with sunny skies, warm temperatures and low humidity, as throngs of people came out to enjoy the return of this popular Cheshire event. Due to concerns over the pandemic in 2020, the Festival had to be canceled.
This year’s event featured traditional staples, such as the car show, hot dog eating contest, and fireworks display at night. Special to this year was a noon ceremony where members of the Cheshire Fire and Police Departments, along with EMT’s and others, paused the festivities to honor the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11.
All in all, it was a successful return of the Fall Festival.
