An accident on Route 10 Tuesday evening resulted in one fatality, the Cheshire Police Department announce early Wednesday morning.
At 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22 the Cheshire Police Department responded to a two vehicle collision on Route 10. According to information released by the Department, the incident involved the collision of a pick up truck and a sedan.
“Unfortunately, one of the occupants involved in the collision was pronounced dead on the scene,” said CPD Chief Neil Dryfe, in a press release. “Others involved in the collision were transported to the local hospitals for injuries sustained during the collision.”
According to the release, the Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team was called in to investigate the crash, with no determination yet as to what caused the collision.

The identification of the individual who died has not been released.
