The Cheshire Senior Center, 240 Maple Ave., is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about classes and programs, call the Administrative Office at (203) 272-8286. Transportation is available upon request by calling (203) 272-0047.

Holiday Bazaar & Craft Fair –  Friday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discover hand-crafted items, Bake Sale and homemade jams, an on-the-spot raffle (drawing on Saturday at 3 p.m.), a new 50/50 raffle (drawing on Saturday at 3 p.m.), vintage jewelry, and bottle raffle, tag sale and vendors, as well as a children’s raffle, plus a face painter and photos with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. All proceeds help support the Cheshire Senior Center.

AARP Safe Driving Course – Monday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-AARP members. Pre-register with payment by check or money order only, payable to AARP.

Safe-Tea – Monday, Nov. 18, at 10:30 a.m. An informative program about scams, financial safety, and fraud in the senior community will be presented by People’s United Bank and WCAAA. Bagels and … will be provided by C.H.A.T. Registration is required by Friday, Nov. 15. 

Photo ID – Monday, Nov. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. Photos are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Drop Your Drugs – Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. A representative from the Cheshire Police Department will be on site to accept and safely dispose of unwanted, expired or unused  prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Veterans’ Coffee House – Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is appreciated. For additional information and to register, call (203) 272-8286.

Cheshire Readers Book Club – Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Please read “The Book That Matters Most” by Ann Hood.

Hearing Screenings – Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. Complimentary hearing screenings will be provided by All Ears Hearing, Inc. Advance registration is required.

Tech Thursday – Thursday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. A Cheshire Library staff member will provide one-on-one assistance with tech devices. No appointment is required. First-come, first-served.

Through the Magnifying Glass: The Cheshire Sherlock Holmes Society – Thursday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. Please read “The Adventure of the Cardboard Box.” New members are always welcome. Any questions, email Andy at tranquilli@hotmail.com.
