WEST DENNIS, Mass. – Carol Frances Robinson, 74, formerly of Cheshire, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 16, 2019 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on April 27, 1945 in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Paul J. and Margaret F. (McCracken) Robinson.
Ms. Robinson was a graduate of Cheshire High School, Class of 1963. She spent the first 20 years of her career as a Dental Assistant, first in Conn., then in Mass. Carol became involved in the American Kennel Club, was former Chair of the Cape Cod Kennel Club, and was a breeder of Champion Shih Tzus for 40 years. She was an exceptional gardener who possessed a special talent for flower arranging and was former President of the West Dennis Garden Club. Carol had a life-long passion for gourmet food, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of South Dennis, where she served as a Deacon for the last 10 years.
Carol is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth A. (Neily) and her husband J. Keenan Burns of New Gloucester, Maine, and Susan M. (Neily) and her husband Terry J. Flynn of Simsbury, Conn.; her sister, Paula (Robinson) and her husband Alphonse Criscuolo of Cheshire, Conn.; three granddaughters, Megan E. (Burns) and her husband Sven Diehr of Williamsburg, Mass., Laura M. Burns of New Gloucester, Maine, and Ashley M. Flynn of Quincy, Mass.; and her beloved dog, Paris.
Services for Carol will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., 06410, is assisting the family with arrangements.
