BRIGHTON, Mich. – Donna Marleen Davis, of Brighton, Michigan, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the age of 92.
She was born on November 12, 1930, to the late John and Bernice Bloss. Donna married Bob Davis in 1950 after he returned from serving his country. The two lived happily on the Michigan State University campus for seven years while Bob worked on his Ph.D. and Donna worked as an LPN. They then moved the family to Cheshire, Connecticut, where they spent the next 45 years. Donna loved to travel with family and was very active in Christ Community Church in Cheshire, Connecticut.
Donna was the cherished mother of Dianne (Tom) Hebda, Jan Davis and the late Trudy Reinhard. She was the adored grandmother of Matthew (Rachel) Hebda, Lauren (Steven) Pierce, Breanna Whittemore, Keith Whittemore, and Bryan (Kelly) Maher, and loving great-grandmother of Theodore Hebda, Hallie Pierce, Wells Maher, and Indie Maher. She was the dear sister of the late John “L.D.” Bloss, the late Trudy Rector, the late Allen Bloss, and Joanne Finnegan.
The family will be planning a memorial service to celebrate Donna’s life at Brighton Church of the Nazarene, 7669 Brighton Rd., Brighton, Mich., on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. There will be gathering from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
