She loved helping people buy or sell their homes, and enjoyed a successful career for the next 33 years. Joan served as president of the Duxbury Newcomers Club, and also as president of the Plymouth and South Shore Association of Realtors. She was active in her church, serving on the Christian Board of Education, Stewardship Committee, Board of Trustees, and finally as Moderator.

Joan “Joanie” loved her Duxbury community, her 1818 antique home, her many friends and colleagues, and living near the ocean.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, November 30, at 2 p.m. at the Pilgrim Church, Washington St., Duxbury, MA 02332. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chester Village West Foundation, Inc. 317 West Main St., Chester, CT 06412.
