CA Field Hockey Earns First Victory On Wednesday, Boys' Soccer Pulls Out Win Over Canterbury

On Wednesday, Cheshire Academy field hockey (1-9) built a 2-0 halftime and then held off a comeback bid to pick up their first win, 3-2, at Wilbraham & Monson Academy (0-6). Liv Redding came clutch with nine saves for the Cats.

Grace Maurice put in two goals and Julia Williamson also scored. Stella Gebhard added an assist.

On Saturday, the Cats travel to play St. Luke's at 2 p.m.

Boys' Soccer (5-5)

Like the field hockey team, CA boys also earned a 3-2 road win, outlasting Canterbury School (1-7) in New Milford. With the score tied at 2-2, the Cats recorded the game-winner on an own goal.

For CA, August Saigne netted two goals, while Hazar Demirkol and Russell Tevie picked up assists. Goalkeeper Owen Kempton made seven saves.

Next Wednesday, the Cats visit Williston Northampton School to compete at 4 p.m.
