CHS Boys' Volleyball Earns A Road Sweep On Wednesday


On Wednesday, Cheshire High School boys’ volleyball earned a 3-0 victory (25-10, 25-10, 25-9) victory at Oxford (0-3). Junior Tim Nugent tallied 17 assists and four aces, while senior Shea Cronin compiled eight aces (personal high) and two digs.

Senior Thor Novicelli put down seven kills. Classmate Samson Portal contributed a career-best six kills and five aces.

To wrap up a string of playing three days in a row, the Rams host Pomperaug (1-4) on Thursday at 6 p.m.

For the opener, Cheshire boys and girls host Guilford at 3:45 p.m.

Boys’ Golf (2-0)

The Rams visit Orange Hills Country Club to face Jonathan Law (0-2) at 2:45 p.m.
