CHS Girls' Basketball Will Face Rival In SCC Quarters On Friday, Boys' B-Ball And Ice Hockey Teams Receive Pairings


For the Southern Connecticut Conference Division II quarterfinals on Friday, Cheshire High School girls’ basketball (fifth seed, 3-9) visits Wallingford to play Lyman Hall (fourth seed, 4-8) at 6 p.m. Last Friday, CHS pulled out a 33-32 victory over the visiting Trojans.

Boys’ Basketball (sixth seed, 5-7)

In quarterfinal action on Saturday, Cheshire visits Madison to face host Daniel Hand (third seed, 7-5) at Polson Middle School. Start time is 12 p.m.

Back on March 7, the Rams outlasted their rival to win 59-56 in double overtime.

Boys’ Ice Hockey (fifth seed, 4-5)

Due to fourth-seeded Daniel Hand needing to quarantine, Cheshire has received a bye in the quarterfinal round. Next Wednesday, March 24, Cheshire will play a semifinal against the winner of Saturday’s quarterfinal between Branford (ninth seed, 2-4) and Lyman Hall (top seed, 9-2).

The highest remaining seeds will host the semifinals.
