CHS Girls' Volleyball Stays Unbeaten On Thursday


Cheshire High School girls’ volleyball improved to 3-0 on Thursday, winning 3-1 (25-11, 23-25, 25-19, 25-16) at Sacred Heart Academy (1-3) in Hamden. Senior setter Sarah Holley earned a personal-best 21 assists, adding two aces, two digs, and two kills.

Senior tri-captain Hannah Portal (eight kills, two blocks) and junior Jenna Stickney (six kills) both served three aces.

In a rescheduled match, Cheshire hosts North Haven (1-2) on Friday at 5:30 p.m. For Senior Night, tri-captain Danielle Hersh, Portal, tri-captain Alenna Zebarth, Madison Ballschmieder, Avery Gress, Holley, and manager Kate Koval will be recognized before the match.

Girls’ Soccer (1-1)

On Friday, CHS travels to Wallingford to play Lyman Hall (0-2) at 4 p.m.
