Cheshire High School juniors Sophie Murphy and Ali Tyler have been named 2018-19 USA Swimming High School Scholastic All-Americans. To qualify, athletes must hold a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and meet time standards to swim in Winter Junior Nationals.
Murphy and Tyler are both National Champions for the Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club. Murphy is also swimming her third season for the CHS girls’ program this fall.
On Dec. 4-7, Murphy and Tyler will join Sea Dog teammate Vivian Mudry in the Toyota U.S. Open in Atlanta, Georgia.
