Subramani Finishes Tennis Season On Monday, Golfers Compete In State Match


On Monday, Cheshire High School tennis player Utsav Subramani finished up his junior season in the Connecticut Invitational Tournament at Wesleyan University. Subramani (16-6) won the opening set in the second round, but ended up falling 6-3, 3-6, 6-10 to New Canaan senior Ben Graham.

Boys’ Golf

CHS took 12th place (330) in the Division I Championship at Tallwood Country Club in Hebron. Sophomore AJ DePaolo paced the Rams with a 77.

Junior Nick Fortunato shot an 82 and freshman Jack Brewster tallied an 85. Junior Riley Brabant and senior Chris Scoffone both recorded an 86.

The Rams have finished the team portion of their season, but DePaolo has been invited to play in the State Open on Saturday (1 p.m.) at Black Hall Club in Old Lyme.

Scoffone, Matt Cardinali, and Zach Colosky will graduate from CHS program.
