Jinks Ready To Get Things Done On Council

Editor, The Cheshire Herald:

Last Tuesday — Election Day — I was elected to Cheshire’s Second District Council seat. I’m truly honored and excited to serve my neighbors. Your votes are not something I will ever take for granted. Thank you!

I campaigned on safer neighborhood streets, stronger schools, and an economic development strategy that leans into our strengths. I’m eager to get to work on these priorities, but I’m also eager to learn and to get to know everyone in the Second District.

Beginning in December, I’m your new Town Councilor.

Please stay in touch. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll be as accessible as I can possibly be via phone, email, text, in-person and online. We’ll also have “action hours’’ and in-person and/or virtual town halls for the District. You’ve come to expect a high level of service from your Town Councilor and I will carry on that tradition and standard.

Thank you again for your support and your vote. For those that didn’t vote for me, I’m eager to earn your trust and support.

Everyone will find that I’m not a talker. I prefer to listen and I prefer taking action and getting things done. Together we can make good things happen. Let’s get to work!

Jim Jinks

Councilman-elect
