Thanks To Community For Commitment To Pumpkin Patch

Editor, The Cheshire Herald:

Thank you to all the people of Cheshire who support the Community Pumpkin Patch at St. Peter’s Church year after year!

The 2021 patch was run by the CHS Best Buddies group, Re-Read Books and St. Peter’s Church parishioners. We also had lots of help unloading from the CHS Rams Softball team, setup and cleanup from Boy Scout Troop 198 and the wagon and ramps from our friend, Bob Thatcher.

There was some stormy weather the last week of October, so we didn’t have people sitting in the shed. We were so grateful that, despite the bad weather, people still bought pumpkins and left the payment in our donation jar out on the picnic table. It warmed our hearts to know how much people support and respect our endeavor every year and how the patch is a tradition for so many families.

Wishing you all a peaceful holiday season and see you next year in the patch.
